I’m not sure if it had to do with the fact that I grew up for the most part sheltered, but I feel like I’ve always just had to spread my wings and fly. I cant get enough of the outdoors and there’s no such thing to me as too much activity. I love exploring my world around me. I’m so fortunate that I have a partner in life that is as spirited as I am about being outside and wanting to experience things together. No home bodies here.
The downside of being in the military is that you move a lot, however, I have learned to make it a positive thing. New sites, new adventures, new experiences, and best part being that I get to do it with my favorite people. From alligator farms in New Orleans, being overwhelmed with emotions from the trees at Sequoia and Kings National Park in northern California, pit stops to the Hoover Dam and the Las Vegas Strip during military orders move, to living the Gulf Coast Life in the beaches of Pensacola. Its all good.
I love seeing the look on my kids faces when we go somewhere new. Its the same excitement I feel, but I cant imagine what its like through their eyes. I would like to think that this is what our life will always be like because no matter how tired we are, we never slow down. I like it like that. Stay tuned for the next adventure.
